Radical Cartoons at this year's Battle of Ideas!
(The UK Conservative Party Education Secretary announced at their Conference, that she was banning children’s use of mobile phones during the school day, by legislation if necessary).
I will be speaking at this year’s Battle of Ideas in London, for the very first time!
My session is in the “Breakfast Banter” slot, on Sunday 29 October, 10-10.45am,
here’s the timetable:
I’m on the Speakers List:
AND, for the first time, Battle of Ideas will be running a bookshop - and a few signed copies of my book, “2020, The Year We Were All Cancelled” will be available for less than the rrp!
(But if you can’t make it, you can still get it online via Amazon, Blackwells, Waterstones, Barnes & Noble etc)
By a wonderful coincidence, on the same Sunday, in the afternoon, we are having our Halloween Reformers Tree “Let Women Speak” in Hyde Park!
So I hope you will come and see me in the morning at BofI, and then head your Broomsticks over to the Tree for 1pm!
As it’s a breakfast session, I fully expect it to be just me and three people munching their Bacon Sarnies - please come along, and prove me wrong!
MANY THANKS to Baroness Claire Fox, founder of the Academy of Ideas, who has been trying to get me into the BofI for 3 YEARS!
(I strongly suspect that I was too controversial for her male colleagues)!
But this year I am in great company. Over the course of the weekend, there are about 30 GC and actual Terfy women, and men, and loads of free speech people, speaking at the Festival. It’s not too late to get tickets, you can book for just one day, and there are concessions: https://www.battleofideas.org.uk/battle-of-ideas-tickets-2023/
On their website you can see all the speakers listed by surname. All your favourites will be there!
See you soon!
